The Orchids Hotel - Bogota

The Orchids hotel in La Candelaria reminded me of a unique historical escape. The rooms were beautifully decorated with high ceilings and rich furnishings. Breakfast was a highlight every morning, especially the mouthwatering arepas made by Marta. The attentive service from Francisco and Johan stood out. They were very good too help us navigate the area and arrange transportation. On the downside, our room only opened to the interior courtyard, and the bacon smell wafting in during breakfast was quite overpowering. The shower took too long to warm up, frustrating after long days exploring. Despite these minor inconveniences, the location was perfect for accessing local spots and the ambiance was good.

Perfect, spotlessly clean place, worth its 5 stars. Delicious breakfast with various food choice. Amazing, excellant location in the great area. The nicest place to stay when travelling to Bogota.

The breakfast was spot on, especially the rich, home-cooked arepas-Marta sure knows her stuff! Plus, the super nice team, providing personal service. The beautifully appointed King Suite kept that historic charm alive while being luxurious.

Though the layout was quirky, the sink was a tad too far back for comfort. The shower performed well, but let's be real, a separate toilet opposite completed the ensemble was great.

It is nestled in the middle of the town, minute walk from a huge la Candelaria library. My must haves' are a gorgeous, impressive room with delicious breakfast, antique decor, a huge bathroom.

Hotel as a whole is unique and relaxing, I really enjoyed it.

It has good location extremely close to a bronze statue. It is set in a local area.

Consider requesting breakfast ahead of time if you have an early flight. They are very accommodating.

This hotel was an excellent base for exploring Bogotá with my family, including our two adult kids. We loved the fresh, cooked-to-order breakfast and the vibrant atmosphere of the area. The staff was attentive.

My wife says that the carpets in the rooms need an upgrade for cleanliness.

The spacious Beautiful Double Room offered a fine baroque decor that was both inviting and luxurious. Staff members, especially Francisco, provided really good service, always eager to assist with directions or carry bags. The garden view from our window added a serene touch to our mornings.

The Orchids Hotel is a striking boutique gem with spacious rooms adorned with beautiful decor, showcasing unique art pieces. While the location is secure and ideal for exploring, be prepared for some noise from the breakfast preparation. A amazing stay in the heart of Bogotá.

We had a fantastic group trip and this place was the perfect base for exploring the city. Located near the Botera Museum and the main plaza, we loved visiting local restaurants and enjoying the charming historic vibe. The free walking tours and great Wi-Fi were a big hit. Breakfast was amazing, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

One downside was that the showers ran cold pretty quickly, a bit inconvenient after our long days of exploration.
